OUR NEXT EVENT IS LIVE!
JOIN US for OUR NEW STORY-WORTHY FOOD SERIES!
On April 21st, we kick off the second chapter of our Story-Worthy Food Series, where members of our team curate a special menu reflecting the pieces from their lives and journey that have shaped them and brought them to Baltimore.
Chapter 2 features our team member Anysa, a Yemeni-Muslim American lens-based artist whose work engages questions of identity, culture, and representation. Anysa was among our first Artists in Residence, and in this Chapter, “The Acts of Existing”, she will curate a menu that explores her journey from California to Yemen to Baltimore, with items like Lamb Mendi and Dagha yamneeya, the inspiration behind the Chopped Cheese.
“This menu is a love letter to my Yemeni heritage — sharing the dishes I grew up with in a city that gave me a place to belong.”
Anysa’s menu will run from Tuesday, April 21st, through Saturday, April 25th, alongside our usual Mera menu. Items will be available for dine-in and take-out. No reservations needed.
This series is about the human story of where we come from, how we travel, and what we carry with us. Does a conversation change what we eat? Or does what we eat change the conversation?
Full menu below! 🇾🇪 ❤️ We can’t wait.
